As a last-minute choice, she is the perfect nanny for his newly discovered young son. Not only is she able to empathize with the trauma his son has experienced, but Mira is also a calming constant in Zane’s role as a father. 

But, there’s a reason why Mira understands what Zane’s son has been through. Unfortunately, it’s a reason she can’t keep hidden much longer.

The confusion and indecision Tristian and Adriana exhibit is reflected in their immaturity. While Tristian wants to protect Adriana and step into a leadership role, his lack of resources and experience is glaringly obvious.  

Illicit Throne is a great beginning to the Callahan and Orisini alliance. I look forward to Tristian and Adriana’s uneasy truce as they are forced to rely on each other to grow up fast.

I love witnessing Enzo’s transformation from the supposed psychopath his uncle has tried to force him to become. Unwilling to be manipulated into giving in to his uncle’s sick demands, Enzo must decide how far he is willing to go to protect Kennedy; and how much of himself he is willing to sacrifice to free his sister and his brothers.

Red Line Riot is the conclusion of Red Line Ruin in the Firebirds duet. Too quick to judge, Weston assumes the worst of Renee. With a past filled with distrust, Weston rips everything good from Renee. He believes he's only giving her exactly what she deserves. And, maybe he's right. At least that's what Renee believes. Weston's actions forces Renee back into the viper pit of a family that she barely escaped the first time. 

Hopefully, Weston can reconcile his past with his the present he is determined to have with Renee.

Renee and Weston...the banter between these two is combustible. They are fun and snarky.

Finally on her own, Renee is determined to make a brand new life for herself. She's finally broken ties with her abusive and controlling family. On her own, she's discovering a world beyond the wealth of her family with a new job and new friends. Everything is perfect except for the incredibly sexy jerk next door. 

While, Weston is convinced Renee is just another hockey groupie. She lives in his building, works for his hockey team, and managers to show up wherever he goes. To him, that's the classic definition of a stalker and he's had enough of people taking advantage of him for his status, fame, money. He's been put through enough to know he can't trust easily.

Despite their animosity toward one another, each interaction brings them even closer. Weston is stubbornly beginning to see Renee as more than the puck bunny he assumed; and, she's starting understand that there is more to Weston than a bad attitude.

Walker, owner of the bar where Claire now works, can't seem to take his eyes off of her, or his hands, or his mouth. He also can't mind his own business, stepping in to help Claire when he has the chance. That is whether she likes it or not. 

Together, they are spicy and feisty! Their banter kept me laughing. I could empathize with Claire's struggles as even the best of us can get overwhelmed with what life puts in front of us. I love how Walker is always ready to support Claire and her daughter. He is a steady presence in her life when she needed it most.

His grief and confusion is something that he has difficulty dealing with. Putting up so many walls, Brian can’t let himself get close to anyone, even Maya who he loves from a distance.

After surviving a horrific attack, Maya is now struggled to pull her life together, to trust herself and the friends who stand with her. Maya is a strong woman, determined to maintain her independence and not settle for anything less than she deserves. In spite of her fear, she hopes to move forward with or without Brian by her side. Although, she really hopes she and Brian can overcome their pain.

Face-off is the 5th book in the Colorade Coyotes series. There is nothing I didn’t love about Tess and Dom! I love the way they meet over his broken down car on the side of the road. I love Tess’s commitment to her children, her sister, and her nephews. Life as a single mom isn’t easy when things around the house break or even when money is tight. On top of all of it, Tess is an incredible woman, setting the best example that she can for her family.

Then there’s Dom. A pro-hockey player and admitted player, he sets aside the boredom of one-and-dones to help Tess’s teenage son. Which as baffling as it is to Dom, he is determined to step up for Tess. Their developing relationship is a slow and fiery burn. I enjoyed the camaraderie between Dom and his teammates. They’ve got a great sense of humor, had me laughing as much as some of the crazy situations Tess’s family gets into.

Crave is an excellent beginning to the Men of Inked Sinners! Tate and Wylder are wonderful together. That first kiss…WOW! I can’t wait to see what life has to offer them next. I am in love with Wylder’s two little girls. It’s not often that a man steps up as a single dad, willing to put his children first. But, Wylder proves to be a strong role model for this girls. And, Tate is his perfect match. Dealing with her own past, she also knows the challenges of being raised by a single parent. Plus, she’s amazingly strong and has a feisty attitude to match.
