McKenna and Kalen! This is a fantastic introduction to the small town of Lindell, Texas. I'd love to live right in the middle of it, surrounded by their quirky and wonderful residents. The heat between these two are like fireworks and sparklers. Be prepared for a lot of laughter, heat, miscommunication, and humorous situations.

I loved Maya and Brian. They were both damaged and struggling to come to terms with the trauma they’ve both experienced. For Brian, it was heart wrenching to watch this strong man, come home from a day at work only to walk into his worst nightmare. His grief and confusion is something that he has difficulty dealing with. Putting up so many walls, Brian can’t let himself get close to anyone, even Maya who he loves from a distance.

After surviving a horrific attack, Maya is now struggled to pull her life together, to trust herself and the friends who stand with her. Maya is a strong woman, determined to maintain her independence and not settle for anything less than she deserves. In spite of her fear, she hopes to move forward with or without Brian by her side. Although, she really hopes she and Brian can overcome their pain.

The intrigue and heat continue in the continuation of Kennedy and Enzo’s story. They are like watching fireworks in the sky, burning bright. Kennedy’s unbreakable spirit is completely engaging. Kennedy is not like the other women who typically throw themselves at Enzo. She is so strong and independent that I’m sure Enzo isn’t quite sure what to make of her.  While he continues to struggle with his duty to the D’Angelo family as well as his insatiable attraction to Kennedy, a viscous power struggle continues between Enzo and his uncle who is suspected of causing his father’s disappearance. Then, there’s the issue of who brutally attacked his sister. 

Kennedy and Enzo are walking a very slippery slope of danger and attraction. Enjoy their explosive relationship.
