📚Review~ Blood at Dawn

🖋Author~ Cassie Alexander

🖋Genre: Dark, fantasy, vampire, series

⭐️Rating 4/5

Blood at Dawn: Dark Ink Tattoo Book Five is the continuation of Jack's story after Angela has left Los Vegas. Jack is left behind to pick up the pieces to reopen the Dark Ink Tattoo parlor; ensure Paco wakes up and isn't too angry at his new vampire reality; and how to keep one vampire gang from getting their hands on something extremely dangerous.

Jack has his hands full with a new batch of characters that for some reason he feels compelled to help. I definitely recommend reading this series in order. The series is intense with twisted, sexy characters. I'm looking forward to reading more about how Jack intends to deal with his humans Zach who has a major crush on him and Luna who is hiding a huge secret.

Review: Beg for Mercy

Beg for Mercy Beg for Mercy by L.A. Hart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Maddie: "You may take everything in your life for granted, but I don’t."

Beg for Mercy is Maddie and Aric's story. They are enemies to lovers with snarky banter, snide comebacks, and cocky attitudes. This book is outstanding! Lane is a fantastic writer and I always love to read her work.

Maddie and Aric couldn't be any more different. The classic girl from the poor side of town refusing to back down to the wealthy popular crowd at the private school. On scholarship, Maddie is immediately singled out, always made to feel less than her classmates. Instead of allowing herself to be intimated by the rich kids, Maddie fights for her right to be at Mercy, to protect her family, and to make something better of herself than her worthless parents.

For his part, Aric is the typical jock/bully always ready to point out Maddie's shortcomings. But the more time he is forced to spend with Maddie, the more he is exposed to the stark realities of her existence. He's never had to worry about paying for anything he wants, not even the utilities. Aric has never looked at life the way Maddie does. Her determination, her strength gives him the courage to examine the direction of his own life.

It's the bet they made though that has them becoming reluctant partners, friends, and eventually trusting each other enough to fall in love. I hope you love Maddie's and Aric's story as much as I did!

Review: Dare

Dare Dare by Chelle Bliss
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Dare is the 14th book in the Men of Inked: Heatwave series. Dare is Pike's younger brother who married into the Gallo family. The Gallo's are an amazingly protective and alpha family. They are incredible and Dare is no different.

Sage is the perfect blend of sassy and sweet to Dare's easy-going attitude. Their relationships is made more difficult when they discover that they're both in the service and must 'follow' the military's non-fraternization rule. While Sage opted out of Office Candidate school and took the enlisted path and Dare is a Navy SEAL, he finds away to keep seeing Sage, taking her on unofficial dates, calling/texting, and going on weekend trips.

Sage's cheeky mouth will fit right in with the Gallo family. It takes an incredibly strong and resilient woman to love a Gallo man.
