Box of Secrets is a fantastic mystery involving a hidden box of high school mementos, a missing teen, an unnamed older boyfriend, and a sexy detective. I absolutely loved Sarah's determination for a fresh start in her hometown after an exhausting career as a crime reporter and her desire to create a less stressful life for herself. Although, she says she's through with investigating, Sarah can't turn her back on the mysterious box and the possibility to solve a decades old crime.
Detective Ryan Carter is a perfect match for Sarah. Both are committed to searching for the truth to uncover everything they can about a missing teen. Their probing puts Sarah in danger which leads to Ryan's decision to protect Sarah from whoever doesn't want them to solve the case. With each turn, it seems the case gets more complicated even as the two discover more to the story.
Box of Secrets is a wonderful page-turning romantic mystery. It was refreshing to watch Sarah and Ryan's relationship grow as they hunt for the truth in their normally peaceful town. I hope there are more mysteries in the future for Sarah and Ryan.
